Foundation repair with architects and engineers onsite

Structural assessments with certified architects and engineers onsite, protecting your home from the ground up across Northwest Arkansas.

Chapter 01

Cracks, sticking doors and sloping floors: how a foundation tells you it is moving

A foundation rarely fails all at once. It talks first. Cracks run diagonally from the corners of windows and doors. A door that rubbed fine last spring now sticks, or a gap opens above it. A floor that used to be level now rolls a marble across the room. Any one of these can be harmless on its own, which is exactly why guessing is expensive.

Water is usually behind it. Soil that swells when it is soaked and shrinks when it dries pulls on a footing unevenly, and a downspout dumping beside the wall makes that worse every storm. If you are seeing the signs in a Springdale or Northwest Arkansas home, call (479) 544-2856 and describe what you have noticed.

Architects and engineers onsite, then a written plan before any digging

JMI Construction Group does not treat a foundation like a roof. Structural assessments are done with certified architects and engineers onsite, who look for the root cause and the real extent of the damage, not only the crack you pointed at. The result is a comprehensive repair plan, and then the work is executed to restore the integrity of the house.

The repairs themselves include crack repair and stabilization to stop further settling. Trey Terral, an architect who sees the full range of builder quality, hired JMI for a sagging header that was compressing the sliding glass door below it. Noah came to his house the day after he called, the crew started the next day, fully diagnosed the problem and replaced the header. He called the communication constant and the pace fast, and said he would recommend JMI to his own clients.

Chapter 03

Drainage and waterproofing, so the repair is the last one

Fixing the wall without fixing the water is how a foundation gets repaired twice. That is why the work includes drainage solutions and waterproofing alongside the structural side: drainage that carries rain away from the footing, and waterproofing where moisture is pushing in.

JMI lists a long-term warranty on foundation work. The published page does not give a term, so ask what it covers and for how long when you call, and get the answer in writing before you sign. The office is at 2200 W. Sunset Ave in Springdale, and we serve all of Northwest Arkansas.
